Much like looking at the LJN logo on an old Nintendo cartridge would inspire a bitter hatred of the brand, seeing his name attached to a game movie project filled us all with a very similar hate. Yet somehow this dismal failure managed to set a peculiar standard that we all would continue to expect from live-action video game adaptations, one that would be heavily reinforced by the horrible troll of a developer we would come to know over the years as Uwe Boll. I was very disappointed with the movie originally, I went into it with high expectations, and had pretty decent impressions of the cartoon from the same era (I was a kid, cut me some slack), so ultimately I was set up for a pretty big fall. movie… Looking back on it now It’s good for a laugh, but my 10 year old self would definitely beg to differ. Until then I'll just stay as a Manga fan because the only thing I'll have to worry about is the Mangaka dying or the World blowing up.Live-Action video game adaptations! There’s a phrase that has always left me feeling sour, it all started for me when I watched the original live action Super Mario Bros.
Maybe I will get back into anime when all anime are equal.
Who the fuck watches an anime about two girls kissing? That's all they do. You look at the upcoming seasonal anime and majority of it is some snuff film that only sexually frustrated people enjoy like Sakura Kiss. Then there are anime that are completely different from the manga. Anime have become very suspect lately as the good manga either never get anime, get shitty anime, or get a good anime but are very short with no continuation in sight. There are anime like Soul Eater which get a bullshit ending and never a reboot or just a second part. There are anime like Binbogami ga that get 12 episodes and never get a second season even though the manga has long finished. This season started the downfall of my anime watching. There were only 2 episodes that remained good, D-Frag and Hamatora but Hamatora would go on to let me down in the summer with its second season. But every fucking series became trash when the 5th episode came around. Back in 2014 the Winter Anime started off so good. Of course this isn't the only reason I decided too become a Manga only fan. I'm sick of Animators or the directors or whoever the fuck is in charge, changes shit for no reason. Then they made edits that were not needed. The animators already ruined the anime by changing the story around. I'm watching it but I never get passed the 5 minute mark.
I love the manga Sousei no Onmyouji so I was hyped to watch the anime that came out this season. After a long debate I decide to partake on May 4th. I decided to take part in Black Nerd Squad's 31 Days of AniMay. I am actually giving up Anime and becoming a Manga only fan. I never thought I would actually be saying and doing this here I go.
